Customize report settings and themes
You can also customize the look and feel of your report by editing your report’s theme and font, color, layout and table style settings. This document covers how to configure your report theme and settings.

User requirements
- You must be assigned an account type with Create, edit, and publish reports permission. See Account type and license overview.
- You must enter Edit mode to configure the following.
Change report theme and settings
To access report settings:
- Click the background of your report. From the side panel, select Report settings.
From Settings, you can:
- Edit your report’s theme settings, color settings and font settings to match branding and compliance standards
- Modify your layout style and layout settings to accommodate differently sized pages or screens
- Change table style settings to highlight important information
Theme settings
Themes encompass a report’s color palette, fonts, and title and table text sizes, and are applied throughout the report once selected. Individual settings can be further modified.
You can choose a predefined theme for your report, or apply custom themes (report themes are shared across workbooks and reports). See Create and manage workbook themes. To select a theme:
- In the Theme dropdown menu, select your desired theme.
Color settings
The Color settings control text, button, background, element, and chart colors in a report.
Font settings
The Font settings control fonts throughout the report.
Select Revert to default to undo your changes and reset the settings to the default. To customize text styles more granularly, see Customize text typeface, size, and style in reports.
The Layout style settings control the layout of report pages and elements.
Table style settings
The Table style settings control the format and display of tables, pivot tables, and input tables.
Select Revert to default to undo your changes and reset the settings to the default.
